Victory DayOn May 9, the people of our country celebrate the anniversary of their great victory in the Great Patriotic War against fascist Germany.

The Second World War was a grim trial for the Soviet people and their army.Displaying unprecedented cour­age and heroism the Soviet soldiers defended every inch of the Soviet soil.

English Secondary schoolI study in an English Secondary school. It is called so because English is paid much attention to.

When we have English lessons the class is split into three groups, so there are ten or twelve pupils in each group.

We have English five times a week. Some subjects are taught in English. They are English and American Literature, the Theory of Technical Translation, Applied Economics.

I would like to tel you about Thanksgiving Day.thanksgiving day

It was in November 1620.

A small ship “The May­flower” left England. After 7 long weeks the people on “The Mayflower” saw land at last. It was America.

International Women’s Day had its origin on the East Side of New York in 1908.march 8

Just as May Day was born in the heart of the class struggle in the 1880s so was Women’s Day in the struggle for the rights of working women in 1908.
